Rental Agreement

Terms, Coverage & Policies

The plain-English version of what you agree to when you rent the Equipter RB4000 from STL Equipter Rentals. A signed copy is provided with every confirmed booking.

1. Rental Terms

  • Rentals are charged per the rate selected at booking (daily, 3-day pack, weekly, or monthly). The rental period begins at scheduled drop-off and ends at scheduled pickup.
  • A deposit is due on confirmation. The balance is due before or at drop-off unless other arrangements are made in writing.
  • Extensions must be requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup and are subject to availability.
  • The renter must be 18 or older and is responsible for the equipment for the full rental period, including overnight.

2. Insurance & Liability Coverage

  • STL Equipter Rentals carries general liability insurance covering our delivery operations on your property. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
  • The renter is responsible for damage to the equipment caused by misuse, overloading beyond rated capacity, negligence, or unauthorized operators. Normal wear is covered by us.
  • The renter's own general liability or homeowner's/contractor's policy is primary for injuries or property damage arising from the renter's use of the equipment.
  • Full coverage details, limits, and certificate copies are provided with your booking confirmation. Questions? Call us before you book.

3. Delivery, Ground Drop & Pickup

  • We deliver within our Greater St. Louis service area during the time window selected at booking. Someone authorized should be reachable by phone on delivery day.
  • The RB4000 is ground-dropped and self-propelled — no heavy delivery truck drives on your driveway, so there's no cracked concrete from delivery vehicles.
  • The renter must provide clear, safe access to the drop location. If we cannot safely place the unit, the rental may be rescheduled and a trip fee may apply.
  • Self-tow renters must use a properly rated vehicle, hitch, and trailer connection, and follow all towing laws.

4. Breakdowns & Service

  • If the machine breaks down or malfunctions, stop using it and call us immediately. Do not attempt repairs yourself.
  • We will repair or swap the unit as quickly as possible — typically same or next business day — and extend your rental for lost time at no charge when the failure is not caused by misuse.
  • Downtime caused by misuse, overloading, or unauthorized repair attempts is billed at the standard rental rate plus repair costs.

5. Prohibited Uses

  • No hauling of hazardous materials, wet concrete, or hot materials (including roofing debris with active embers).
  • No passengers. The operator must read the operating instructions we provide at drop-off before use.
  • No sub-renting, lending, or moving the unit off the job address on the reservation without our written approval.
  • Do not exceed the manufacturer's rated lift capacity or operate on slopes beyond the manufacturer's limits.

6. Cancellation & Weather

  • Cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before your drop-off window.
  • Cancellations inside 48 hours may forfeit the deposit. Same-day cancellations or failed deliveries (no access, nobody reachable) may incur a trip fee.
  • Severe weather? Call us — we'll work with you to move your dates when conditions make roofing unsafe.

7. Payment & Damage Charges

  • Rates shown at booking include the rental and selected delivery option. Taxes, if applicable, are added on the final invoice.
  • Damage beyond normal wear, excessive cleanup, or missing accessories are billed at cost plus labor.
  • Late returns without an approved extension are billed at the daily rate until the unit is back in our possession.

This page is a summary for customers. The signed rental contract delivered with your confirmation is the binding agreement and controls if anything here conflicts with it.
